nenethis morning, a new quinnipiac poll from likely iowa caucus goers was just released minutes ago.it shows donald trump in first place at 31-percent bubujust with a two percent lead over texas senator ted cruz.this is virtually unchanged from results of a january 11-th poll from quinnipiac. good news if you'll be heading out to caucus in cedar rapids. park cedar rapids is offering free parking for those attending caucus events at the double tree downtown.the free parking begins at five-30 but is *only available for the five seasons and convention center ramps.anyone arriving before 5:30 will be charged at the normal rate.on-street parking rates will still be enforced. thisisorning some angryry parents are now celebrating after they convinced the cedar rapids school board to delay action on a change in the calendar. calendar.the district is proposing that classes start two hours * late evy monday morning starting n nt fall.the

sheriff's office tells cbs 2 news they raided a home on north iowa avenue.james estes and bobbie jean milford were taken into custody on burglary charges.deputies arrested two other people in the house for possessing meth. an iowa city mother is just starting a 25-year prison sentence for the death of her son. son. mireya balderas was charged in the death of 20-month-old marcus in 20-12.balderas entered what's called an alford plea - where you do not admit guilt but recognize that the prosecution has enough evidence to support it's case against you.she made that plea in october and was sentenced monday.her boyfriend, jorge perez, is already serving a 50- year-sentence in the toddler's death. at the state capitol, state senators are hearing from iowa's medicaid director about aboutplans to privatize the system in about a month. critics say the plan will do little to save the state money, and is moving too fast--causing confusion and even lapses in coverage for some iowans.those in charge of putting it all together
